EHF Pilates owner and Master Trainer

Natalie Walker, Nationally  Certified Pilates Teacher (N.C.P.T.) and Master Trainer educating the newest generation of Pilates Teachers. She has been in the fitness industry for over two decades and opened EHF Pilates in 2003 after a few years in mainstream fitness began to take its toll on her body due to various injuries. She realized working “smarter rather than harder” would keep her healthy and fit while her love and passion for Pilates and its healing benefits ignited the desire to share it with others and aid in their recovery as well.

Natalie has worked with a vast array of individuals, many with severe physical limitations and has become very intuitive in aiding their rehabilitation process, increasing balance and strength and reducing pain in clients ranging from 12 to 88 years old. Natalie received her mat work certification through the Physical Mind Institute in February of 2002, completed her comprehensive teacher training course from Long Beach Dance Conditioning (LBDC) a year later and is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). She continues to further her education at the university level, in addition to attending workshops in the fields of Pilates and rehabilitation.

Natalie began teaching popular group exercise formats like Step, Body Pump and Spinning and became a Certified Personal Trainer in the late 1990’s. Despite her education and awareness of exercise movement, the excessive pounding aerobics and weight training caused left her searching for a fitness routine that would keep her fit for life without exacerbating her injury.

From her first private session, Natalie knew Pilates would sustain her fitness level, without causing greater problems to her joints. She completed 100 observation hours at Scripps Hospital, Encinitas CA (P.T. department), In addition to completing the Pilates apprenticeship to further her knowledge in working with populations who need more care and instruction.

In her fun time Natalie is an avid cyclist with Swami’s Cycling club in Carlsbad. She includes regular Pilates to complement her bicycle commute to the office and long weekend rides for a fit, flexible and healthy body!

Stephanie W. was introduced to Pilates in 2003. She was looking for a way to counteract the poor ergonomic positions she was faced with in her Dental Hygiene Career. Pilates has been a form of movement that has improved her posture, strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Consistent practice has helped relieve her neck pain as well. Steph continued to train through both of her pregnancies. Pilates has also been invaluable in keeping up her endurance and improving her core and pelvic floor strength after childbirth.

In 2018, Steph decided to join a Pilates Teacher program. She wanted to improve her own practice, as well as, help others achieve the same positive results. She completed a Comprehensive Pilates Teaching program at EHF Pilates with Master Trainer, Natalie Walker.

Steph continues to educate herself in order to help her clients with their individual needs and injuries. She has completed additional Pilates courses specific to Prenatal/Postnatal clients and Pilates for Scoliosis. Steph is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and improve their longevity.
